1353833 Valves K FUJIWARA 14 April 1972 [28 April 1971] 17390/72 Heading F2V A rotary ball valve comprises a valve member 8, a pair of sealing rings located either side of the member in the inlet and outlet respectively, one of which, 10, is located in a ring retainer 11 which is urged towards the valve member by a screw-threaded adjusting member 13 and corrugated washer 12. The valve housing includes two parts (21, 22) (Fig. 1, not shown) clamped to a central body 1 having apertures (2) and (3) for the insertion of the valve member 8 and valve stem (6) respectively. A bushing (15) and annular projection 14 prevent plastic flow of the sealing rings (9), 10. The valve is provided with a stop ring (26) limiting the rotation of the valve member to 90 degrees. |
