Cpds of formula (I) their salts with organic and inorganic bases and their esters with alcohols (C1-C4), where R1 is alkyl (C1-C3), phenyl; R2 is H or Cl. Prepd. by reaction of the appropriate thiazole-2-yl-thiols with chloro- or bromoacetic acids esters, or of the 2-chlorothiazoles with mercaptoacetic acid esters.
