A method and apparatus for discontinuously receiving signals, comprising: adjusting a numerical value of a pulse current generated according to a network configuration in a unit of time into a pre-set numerical value, so that the number of pulse currents generated by a terminal due to a DRX function in the unit of time is less than the number of pulse currents generated according to the network configuration; and monitoring network paging by using a pre-set DRX method. The method of the technical solution of the present invention reduces the power consumption caused by monitoring the network paging and improves the running time of a wireless terminal by reducing the number of pulses generated according to a network configuration in a unit of time into a pre-set numerical value. |
