A device for adsorption or ion exchange reactions by means of a packed column with inlet for the medium to be treated, outlet for the regeneration medium and permeable column supporting plate in the lower half and inlet for the regeneration medium and outlet device for the treated medium in the upper half of the column. The medium to be treated flows upwards and the regeneration medium in the reverse direction through the column. The packed bed is lifted above the outlet device by the medium to be generated, where it forms a stationary compact layer arresting bed movement. The symmetrical outlet device occupies less than 50% of the cross section area of the bed. No other special inner devices are required. |
