Title cpds. of formula: (where R1 = H o or opt. branched 1-4C alkyl; R2 = opt. branched 1-12C alkyl or 3-8C cycloalkyl and n = 1-4) as the racemates or optical isomers and including their acid addn. salts are used to treat cardiac complaints without increasing branched tone and thus avoid respiratory side-effects.
