摘要

The dross formed on the surface of molten Al, and contg. >=50% free metal, is removed from the Al surface and is heated in an induction furnace (e.g. heated by AC passing through a water cooled Cu tube) to above the m.pt. of the metal with a molten salt flux (e.g. 45% KCl, 50% NaCl and 5% NaF). A heel of molten Al may be maintained in the furnace and the flux and dross added thereto.
