<p>1320362 Steroid phosphonic esters DR KARL THOMAE GmbH 10 June 1970 [10 June 1969] 52794/72 Divided out of 1320361 Heading C2U [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> 1 is hydrogen, acyloxy, trialkylsiloxy, tetrahydropyran-2-yloxy or benzyloxy; R 3 is C 1-4 alkyl ; X is F, Cl, C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy and A<SP>1</SP> is a group of formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> 2 is acyl, trialkylsilyl, tetrahydropyran-2-yl or benzyl. Preparation thereof is from the corresponding 21-hydroxysteroids (wherein R<SP>1</SP> 1 and R<SP>1</SP> 2 may additionally be OH and H respectively) by reaction with HO 2 C-CHX-PO(OR 3 ) 2 or a functional derivative thereof. When the starting material contains free hydroxyl group(s) in the 12-position or 3-sugar radical, these are also phosphonoacylated.</p> |
