<p>B-Ti type white enamel for steel sheet is prepd. by introducing 0.036 moles Al2O3, 0.038 moles cryolite and 0.014 mols P2O5 into compsn. in order to achieve a more complete recrystallisation of TiO2 charged, by reducing its solubility in enamel melt. Pref. molar ratios, chosen to ensure delustering or recrystallisation of TiO2 to anatase, are 4 : 1 : 1 TiO2 : Al2O3 : Na3AlF6 and 10 : 1 TiO2 : P2O5. Raised, e.g. 80-83%, degree of whiteness is achieved with 11% TiO2, i.e. reducing TiO2 content by 33-40%, from orig. 17-20, without introducing other auxiliary delustering agents, e.g. ZnO, Sb2O3, into compsn.; thin enamel layers can be used.</p> |
