1369490 Stabilizing puffed borax COLGATE PALMOLIVE CO 1 Dec 1971 [5 Dec 1970] 55773/71 Heading C1A [Also in Division C5] Puffed borax is treated with a dispersion, suspension or solution of a pigment or dye in water, the amount of water not exceeding 40% by weight of the borax, whereby dry, coloured puffed borax with improved physical and chemical stability is recovered. Optimum properties are obtained when the borax is puffed at 250‹ C. and when the product contains up to 10% by weight of the pigment or dye. "Optical" dyes can be used. The product is suitable for use in detergents in combination with organic surfactants and possibly hydrotropic agents. |
