The nutrient may be in the form of discrete bodies, particles, tablets or lozenges having a continuous surface coating of the copolymer or, alternatively, particles of the nutrient may be dispersed throughout a matrix of the copolymer, or coated particles may be bonded together by the same or another copolymer. The nutrient may be an amino acid or analogue such as methionine, lysine, cysteine, cystine or the hydroxy analogue of methionine; or a proteinaceous feed material, e.g. waste meat, fish meals and oils; meals pellets or concentrates formed from grains, nuts, beans, protein-rich chaffs or loaf silage; and materials such as oats, barley, soya beans, peanuts, linseed, cotton seed, vegetable oils, lucerne meal, and dairy by-products such as casein. |
