<p>1393194 Process for 2-methoxy-N-(N<SP>1</SP>-ethylpyrrolidin - 2 - yl - methyl) - 5 - sulphamoylbenzamide L L RENAULT 21 May 1973 [19 May 1972] 24189/73 Heading C2C The title compound (I) of formula is made by sulphonating 2-methoxy-N-(N<SP>1</SP>-ethylpyrrolidin-2-yl-methyl)-benzamide (II), e.g. with ClSO 3 H to give the corresponding 5-sulphonyl chloride, and reacting the product obtained with ammonia; (II) is itself obtained by interacting o-methoxybenzoyl chloride and N-ethyl-2-aminomethylpyrrolidone (prepared by heating a mixture of N-ethyl-3-chloro-piperidine, HC1 and aqueous ammonia). Pharmaceutical preparations having antiemetic action and useful in treating depression, neuroses, psychosomatic disorders, psychic involutions of old age and gastroduodenal ulcers contain (I) and/or salts thereof as active ingredient. Administration is orally or parenterally.</p> |
