1326171 Monoazo dyes BAYER AG 14 Jan 1972 [15 Jan 1971] 1870/72 Heading C4P The invention comprises monoazo dyes of formula wherein X represents a straight or branchedchain alkylene radical having 2-4 carbon atoms; R 1 represents H or alkyl; R 2 represents H, Cl, alkyl or acylamino; R 3 represents H or alkyl and R 4 represents alkyl, the rings A and B being optionally further substituted by one or more non-ionic substituents and in which the alkylene, acylamino and alkyl groups may be substituted. The dyes may be obtained by diazotization and coupling and give orange and red shades on natural and synthetic fibres, especially polyamide fibres.
