1326844 Valves WARD & SON Inc 12 Oct 1971 [12 Oct 1970] 47441/71 Heading F2V [Also in Division H1] A dual regulator controller having a single control device for two independent sources of energy (electrical and gas fuel) comprises two housings 12, 14, the housing 12 having an inlet 18 for gas, a main valve member 26, safety valve 30 and an outlet 20; and the housing 14,being provided with a pair of electrical contacts 92, 94 and an over-centre spring 108. In the embodiment shown, the gas and electric power are used together for heating, and a single thermostatic control is provided by a single sensor (not shown), a column of mercury and a bellows 124. The movement of the bellows is applied to the contact 94 via a bracket 112 and to the valve 26 via a lever 60. The desired temperature is set by a knob 52 which acts on the lever 60 and a lever 96. The control points for the two sources may be adjusted independently by a screw 78 (for the gas) and the bracket 112 (for the electric power). |
