<p>Wax flatting varnish for domestic and industrial use, esp. for polishing floors, esp. wood floors, linoleum, panels, and furniture, consists of cheap ingredients forming a liquid mixt. in combination with an alcoholic vehicle, esp. 1 l. industrial alcohol as vehicle, 100 g liquid or solid shellac, 25 cl spirit varnish, 5 cl wax varnish, 1 cl acetate and opt. dyes. High gloss and permanent protection is achieved by simple application without re-polishing. Compsn. is prepd. by (a) soaking shellac in alcohol for 12-24 min. at room temp., (b) emulsifying and adding spirit and wax varnish and acetate, (c) heating in water-bath to 60-90 degrees C, and opt. adding dyes, (d) filtering and (e) cooling.</p> |
