PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection device enabling reliable and precise measurement of electromagnetic radiation, in particular an optimized device enabling an IR imagery scene signal to be amplified as best as possible, with high gains and improved offset current skimming.SOLUTION: A detection device for detecting electromagnetic radiation includes: an active bolometer 7 including a first element 12 sensitive to electromagnetic radiation 8; and a reference bolometer 10 including a second element 13 identical to the active bolometer 7. The active bolometer 7 and the reference bolometer 10 are disposed on the same substrate 14 closely to each other. A cover 15 covers at least a portion of the second sensitive element 13, and an empty space is arranged between the second sensitive element 13 and the cover 15. An inner wall 17 of the cover 15 is constituted of an absorbent layer made from material absorbing thermal radiation emitted by the second sensitive element 13. A reflection shield forms an outer wall 16 exposed under the electromagnetic radiation 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
