Blends with improved melt strength consist of or contains is not 70 wt.% vinyl chloride/alpha-olefin copolymer with 0.3 - 15 wt.% copolymerised 2 - 18C alpha-olefin and 4 - 10 wt.% normally solid methyl methacrylate copolymer. The blends are used for cellular extrusion of cured articles (profiles), e.g. simulated wood, copings of all types, pipes, facing boards for buildings, furniture etc. The methyl methacrylate copolymer acts as Processing aid, and pref. contains 10 - 20 wt.% ethyl acrylate polymer.
