The tube may be made of stainless steel or a copper/nickel alloy and may be corrugated or provided with fins, the corrugations or fins having the form of concentric rings or a single or multi-start helix. The casting may be made of copper and in the particular embodiments described the tube forms a passage for a cooling fluid in a bearing and in a tuyere for a blast furnace. |
