Process for preparing poly- epsilon -caprolactones which comprises heating epsilon -caprolactones using hydrazine as the polymerization initiator at a temperature between the melting point of epsilon -caprolactones and about 35 DEG C. at the first step of polymerization and subsequently at a temperature from 120 DEG to 250 DEG C. at the second step of polymerization until polymerization of the epsilon -caprolactones is completed.
