<p>Granular asphalt mastic, for waterproof road paving, is prepd by producing an asphalt powder having the desired grain-size, e.g. by grinding natural asphalt; drying the powder, e.g. at 130 degrees C to expel all moisture; granulating dried powder together with molten modified bitumen, contg. pref. 0.1-2 wt.% olefine polymers and copolymers, and cooling. Granulates obtd do not agglomerate to lumps even at 60-70 degrees C.</p> |
