<p>A coke oven door jamb scraping mechanism has a main frame which is aligned with the jamb and provided with upright guides along which scraping carriages are moveable to clean the vertical side walls of the jamb. The top and bottom horizontal walls and the acurate corners are cleaned by oscillatory auxiliary scrapers connected by chains to the carriages. As either carriage rises, the other descends and the auxiliary scrapers move in mutually opposite directions, being constrained to follow a path coincident with the horizontal walls and the corners.</p> |
