The fluoro cpd. can itself serve as lubricant, or it can be combined with a carrier which can be an inert diluent or a known textile lubricant, free from F. The perfluorocarbon end gps. are highly branched and are pref. 5-12C perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkenyl gps, pref. derived from a tetrafluorethylene oligomer, (C2F4)n (where n is 4,5 or 6).
