1348561 Delivering sheets OCE-VAN DER GRINTEN NV 13 Aug 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 38141/71 Heading B8R A plurality of sheet collecting receptacles 13, Fig. 1, each comprising for example a folded cardboard sheet, are suspended from rods 14 supported between the teeth of pairs of belts 9, 11 which are intermittently driven to transport the receptacles to and from belts 8. Each movement of the belts 9, 11 is through a distance equal to that between two teeth. The belts 8 are driven more rapidly, and in one step a rod arriving at the belts 8 is carried over the entire length of arcuate guides 12 to where it engages the other belts 11 or 9, according to the drive direction. Since each receptacle is suspended from two adjacent rods, one receptacle is held open during one pause between belt movements below rollers 19, 20 which deliver a sheet into the receptacle. In another form, Fig. 4, the receptacles are supported by hooks on further belts 34 from the time they leave the belts 11 (or 9) and are thus carried round to where they are taken up by the belts 9 (or 11) in an endless path. |
