<p>Benzamides of formula (I), where Q=H,H, X-Cl or Br, R=H or alkyl, and Z'=NH-t aminoalkyl, are prepd by an improved process. I where Q=phthalimido.Z'=OH or o-alkyl, and X=H, Cl or Br, are (a) halogenated (if X=H) (b) deprotected (c) reacted with at-aminoalkylamine and (opt) an alkoxide (if Z'=NHCH2CH2NEt2, removed of the phthaloyl gp occurs during the amination reaction). The intermediates are prepd from p-aminosalicyclic acid. I are of use in preventing vomiting.</p> |
