A substrate 6, e.g. a mixture of polyester resin and calcium carbonate, may be applied to the resin after it has partially gelled. The members may comprise glass, nylon or silicon beads; the article formed may comprise a bench top, panel or tile. The moulding material may be fed to a rotary tubular mould and the members are thereby centrifuged to the mould surface; during hardening the sheet, in tubular form, is laid flat for the final hardening stage. |
