Desorption of active carbon air filters - by recirculation of desorption medium through cooler making initial cooling of hot inert gas unnece-ssary

In the desorption of active C (produced by the combustion of coke, coal or hydrocarbons) by means of an inert gas stream, an additional fan is introduced for the recirculation of part of the desorption medium after it has passed through the active Cp. The recirculated gas is cooled, thus making cooling of the inert gas unnecessary. Pref. ratio of inert gas to recirculated desorption medium is 1:4.
