<p>In a roll press. for paper-making machines, having in known manner, a press. gap for the passage of at least two super-imposed water-permeable strips - one of which is a felt - delimited by a transverse flow roll on the felt side and a smooth roll for preventing the formation of water build-up on its side facing the strips, together with a suction box over which passes the face of the felt lying on the transverse flow roll in the press gap, the further improvement whereby the suction box, constructed as a separate unit from the press, is installed at the shortest possible distance after the point of sepn. of the felt and the strip lying on this in the press. gap and its suction openings lie exclusively on the face over which the felt passes.</p> |
