<p>Valuable anthraquinone dyes are obtained by starting with a compound (I) where X is (methyl)amino, OH, Cl or Br and Y is an exchangeable substituent such as F, Cl, Br or NO2, and where the rings A and/or B may carry other Cl or Br atoms, and exchanging Y for a mercapto group and X for a residue of a primary aromatic amine. The new dyes give reddish-blue to greenish-blue shades on synthetic materials, for example polyesters, polyamides and triacetate. The dyeings have good resistance to moisture, sublimation, light and heat-fixation.</p> |
