Large ingot casting system - with heated shell raisable as lower ingot parts solidify

Ingots of (non)ferrous metals can be produced by pouring the liquid meal into a heated shell, which rests on a massive base, so that the lower parts of the melt solidify. The upper parts are kept at 15-20 degrees C above the metal m.pts. The shell is raised successively by a lifting gear and new metal is poured in until the required size of ingot has been reached.
