<p>The parent patent described the fabrication of a rotary agitator for use in a mixer such as a food mixer. The new development is concerned with static m ixers, partic. for large dia. pipelines of, e.g. >1 m dia. Flat metal blanks, e.g. in stainless steel, are folded to form blades of which two or three are assembled symmetrically on the axis of a pipe to form a static mixer deflector element, which imparts a rotary component to fluid driven axially through the pipe. >=2 deflector elements may follow each other, alternate elements pref. being of opposed rotational construction.</p> |
