1466002 Shell moulds OFFICINE BAGNOLO CREMASCO SpA 8 May 1974 [8 May 1973] 20374/74 Heading B3G Shell moulds G1, G2 (Fig. 2) are removed from their ejected positions on a moulding apparatus 100 (Fig. 1) to a remote working position by a gripping mechanism carried by a forked arm F which is moved from the pick-up position PR(II) through 180 degrees to a discharge position CO(III) from which the inverted shells are pushed by a carriage 50, 51, 52 actuated by a piston and cylinder CT. The gripping mechanisms comprise co-operating sets of latch elements 17 (Fig. 4) connected to pistons 20 in cylinders 19 carried on U-shaped members TO1, TO2, TO3 (Fig. 3) and extend from a frame TO to underlie the prongs B1, B3, B2 of the forked lever F. The complete apparatus is mounted on wheels 71 so that it can be located with respect to the mould and has ground engaging shoes 75 adjustable in height by screw mechanisms. Electropneumatic and electro-hydraulic circuits are provided for the operation of the gripping batches and the forked lever respectively. |
