Feeding apparatus for wires - longitudinal members introducing wires to grid welding machine

Wire is fed from a cutter or in pre-cut lengths to take-up members extending transverse to a belt conveyor the conveyor having one flight arranged along the feeding rolls of a grid welding machine. If the wires are fed to the lower flight then the upper flight lies adjacent the feeding rolls and v.v. The take-up members can be tubes and the wires may be fed to the tubes by a cutter moving along the conveyor. Alternatively the take up members are troughs and pre-cut wires are fed to the troughs from a magazine arranged at one end of the conveyor.
