Title cpd having a specific crystalline form defined by X-ray diffraction characteristics is prepd by adding sufficient n-BuOH to a concd acid soln of cephalexine in water to form two phases then slowly neutralising the two phase system to ppt. (I). The title product is an antibiotic in a stable form and giving high blood level concns after oral administration.
