FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For determining indications for single-port local vitrectomy in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and presence of local traction syndrome prior to by biometry, method includes determining length of eye in mm, optical coherence tomography is used to determine retinal rupture diameter in mm. Index of need for single-port local vitrectomy is calculated by formula: A=d(0.0118L+0.2744), where A is index of need for single-port local vitrectomy; d is diameter of rupture of retina, mm; L is eye length, mm. Values of index A greater than 3 show performance of single-port local vitrectomy.EFFECT: method enables to determine indications for performing single-port local vitrectomy in patients with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and presence of local traction syndrome, which enables to perform microinvasive sparing removal of epiretinal structures above section of maximum traction with preservation of integrity of neuroepithelium and preserving high visual functions.1 cl, 2 ex |
