<p>Acaricides contain active constituents of formula (I): (where R1 , R2 and R3 are independently H, haloge, Me, Et, NO2, amino, phenyl, phenoxy, CF3, CH3SO2, PhSO2, MeO or EtO in position 4, 5 or 7, or alternatively R1 is 6-(m) ethoxy, R2 is halogen and R3 is H). Some cpds. (I) are novel, ie. those in which (i) R1 is Ph, MeSO2, PhO, CF3, Me, Et, OMe, or OEt in position 4, 5 or 7; R2 and R3 are independently H, halogen,Me, amino, NO2, OMe or OEt, with the proviso that when R1 is Me or Et, R2 and R3 are not H; (ii) R1 R2 and R3 are all halogen; (iii) R1 is NO2; R2 is halogen; R3 is nitro or halogen; or (iv) where R1 is 6-OMe or 6-OEt; R2 is halogen; R3 is H. The acaricides are esp. effective against Tetranychi, which are resistant to phosphoric esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons and "Tetraslifon" (RTM), in all stages of development including eggs. They are also effective against tarsonemes and eriophydes, but are harmless to useful insects and have low toxicity o homeothermes. They are useful in forestry and with vegetables, citrus fruits, vines and cotton.</p> |
