<p>Folding machine is intended for pliable articles in sheet form, such as pancakes; the latter, circular in shape, are folded in two in a slit formed between two guide walls. Each pancake is brough to the slit by the conveyor and carried through the slit by the rotating wall to the fixed reception guide. Rods for effecting the folding operating are fixed between two identical endless chains, mounted on return rollers. The rods are synchronised to pass through the gap from top to bottom and cause the pancake to be folded in two. The reception means consist of an inclined wall opening on to an endless belt moving step by step under the control of a jack, so that piles of folded pancakes are obtd. on the belt. Device is simple and operates with certainty.</p> |
