<p>1392329 Shuttleless looms SOC ANON FONDERIES ET ATELIERS MICHEL VAN DE WIELE 10 April 1972 [9 April 1971] 16422/72 Heading D1E A superposed shed double plush loom wherein weft gripper needles 1 enter the superposed sheds from opposite sides and take the wefts 20 with them as they retract has, at the respective weft gripping side a cam operated lever 13 to open the jaws 2, 4 of the gripper 1, a solenoid operated clamp 22 which clamps the weft extending to a suction tube 33, a weft retractor 29 and a circular cutter 34. The clamp 22 opens to allow picking to take place and beat-up causes the weft to be cut by the cutter 34 and the severed end extending to the supply to be drawn into the suction tube 34. The retractor 29 then operates to partially withdraw the weft end from the tube ready for the next pick. At the other side of the loom a pivoted lever 5 opens the jaws 2, 4 to release the weft.</p> |
