The cableway wagons are supported by rollers on the parallel overhead cables. The cables can be parallel in horizontal or in vertical plane or they may deviate from those two planes. The cabin has a centre of gravity in the vertical plane which passes through the suspension cables. If a cable should break then the cabin will still remain in a vertical position due to the relative arrangement of the cables and the centre of gravity. The cables may be arranged in a vertical plane and the cabin is held by a vertical arm on one side of the vehicle. The arrangement is a symmetrical and the pulleys are in contact with the cables which are supported by masts.
