<p>An automatic fodder dispenser is propelled along a steel track by a pair of rubber wheels engaging the track. The steel track is a flat metal strip and the rubber wheels are disposed one on either side of the strip. Each rubber wheel is fastened to a respective shaft and at one end of each shaft is attached a respective gear wheel. The two gear wheels mesh together so that a drive applied to one rubber wheel, from a shaft inboard of the fodder dispenser, is transmitted also to the other rubber wheel by way of the meshing gear wheels. The arrangement allows the total width of the fodder dispenser to be kept relatively small.</p> |
