The device has a transverse arm (10) and clamp for fitting to the roof rack and two end pieces housing forked parts (14) and a locking arm (15) to secure the bycicle frame. The locking element is actuated and secured by cam action by lever (16), this gives leverage and finally locking. The housing for the fork piece can take the form of a hollow cylinder, with slots in it to adjust the position of the fork piece. These items may be bolted up. Provision can be made for locking by key. A pair of inserts (29), (29a) in the split cylinder form a prismatic space at the foot of the fork. |
