A castor for furniture consisting of three pieces, of e.g. nylon (RTM) has a body portion (10) which in cross-section is T shaped terminating at the bottom in a cylinder (11), into which fit concentrically, the bosses (26, 27) of the two wheel halves (21, 22). the outer boss (26) has a groove into which fits a ridge (42) around the inner boss (27) so that the two halves snap together to rotate inside the cylinder of the body portion. The upper part (43) of the body portion acts as a curved shroud over a large part of the wheel halves, thus concealing their joint, and is integral with a vertical extension (15) forming the connection with the article of furniture. |
