The commutator motor for less than one HP for use in electrical tools consists of a rotor with commutator and a housing with recesses for accepting the brushes. In each recess a commutator brush holder with one commutator brush is housed. Each commutator brush holder consists of a hollow body which is resistant to the loading at least over the section containing the brush. The hollow holder can be of square cross-section where one wall may have a shorter longitudinal cross-section extending from one end of the holder and ending in a cross-slot. The end part of opposite walls are springy in the outward direction. A contact tongue acts together with the brass holder and matches a recess in the housing.
