System for preventing dazzling from oncoming traffic - uses optical means for protecting the vision of the driver

The driver turns his eyes from the direct dazzling light and looks in a different direction at light attenuating devices. Additional means may be provided which deflect the line of vision so that the driver is able to see the road ahead as previously. This arrangement may incorporate normal mirrors and dazzle free rear view mirrors. Photo-electrically actuated devices may be rotated into the line o-vision for reducing dazzle. Examples of these devices are filters or tinted films. The antidazzle protection means can also be used as sunshades.
