Attached to the window frame is a hood of transparent plastic material, which covers a predetermined area of the window opening from above and from the oblique side of the frame, as well as from the outside. The hood has the form of the edge region of a trough, having a base which is designed for fitting in a position parallel to the window glass, with sidewalls covering the space between it and the glass and open access from below, and the run of the base approximately conforming to the contour of the side wall, which is bent over at an angle.
