The system has several independent, profiled, markings in different arrangements, corresponding to a code on code keys. The keys are allocated to an operator, who can select calculation storages, and control functions, by insertion into a correspondingly profiled recess of a key lock. This contains scanning members, which are activated by the markings, and which produce code signals according to the desired selection. The code keys have similar symmetrical, non-round profiles. One of the profiled surfaces of each key has an additional marking. This marking has additional scanning members in the key lock corresponding to the number of profiled surfaces of a key, to determine the momentary key position.
