Coarse bulk goods, partic. ores or coal, are distributed in streams by forming a heap and maintaining the same, while discharging from it separate streams in defined time periods. This is carried out by a plant having a table with a matl. discharge device above the same, between which a frame for forming the heap is mounted. Scoop wheels reach up to the heap over part of their circumference, while another such part reaches beyond the table and deposits the scooped matl. on suitable conveying means. The scoop discharge arrangement pref. includes a recess in the table under which runs a conveyor. The recess(es) in the table may be located closely at the heap edge.
