<p>Method for the encapsulation of water-immiscible substances comprises dispersing the encapsulable substance in a dispersion medium in the presence of (a) a water-soluble, surface active, polymeric, polyfunctional cpd. which contains prim. amino, imino, hydroxy and/or thiol gps. and reacting component (a) of this dispersion with (b) and aqs. soln. of a hydrate or bisulphite adduct of a polyacrolein or acrolein copolymer capable of forming an insol. cpd. in the dispersion medium and (c) opt. additionally with a hardening agent or aminoplast precondensate, with the formation of an insoluble capsule matl. The capsules obtd. can be dispersed in a liq. pressed into tablets or used as surface coatings e.g. for forming heat- and pressure-sensitive copying paper.</p> |
