Coating aluminium with resin - by first applying a controlled thickness of active anodising, then applying the resin

The Al is first cleaned of existing oxide then anodised under controlled conditions of temp. and current density so as to achieve a rate of deposition of oxide equal to the rate of soln., using any normal anodising bath, and drying. A film of acrylic, epoxide, silicone, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyurethane or haloe - substd. hydrocarbon resin is than applied. The method of producing the anodised layer gives improved adhesion to the resin.
