Measurement of ionic conductivity of test objects - with measuring electrodes connected to electrical supply source

The ionic conductivity is measured by generating an electrical current in the assumed range of the object for measurement. This current flows in such a relatively short time that the amount of electricity flowing through the object during the measuring period does not exceed 1.35 .10-3. Coulombs with the corresponding admissible error of (+-) 2.5%. The apparatus to measure ionic conductivity has a switching arrangement to apply a brief current pulse to the electrodes and facilities to store the current flowing through the object and proportional to its electrical conductivity. A device can be provided to short-circuit the electrodes after the action of measurement.
