A leather stretching machine includes two tool rolls to which the hide is taken on an elastic conveyor belt. A single pressure roll presses belt and hide against the first tool roll and is then shifted to act against the second tool roll. The first tool roll revolves in the same sense and the second in opposition to the direction of motion of the conveyor belt. The machine can treat a complete hide in one operation.
