Information survey system using magnetic disc - enables analogue and logic data to be simultaneously displayed on cathode ray tube

The data scanning system uses a magnetic disc (1) and a cathode ray oscilloscope (7). The writing system using an electronic circuit enables the data to be simultaneously displayed on the cathode ray tube. Separate heads are used for analogue (2A) and logical (2L) records. A "write" circuit and a "read" circuit (4A, 5A) are connected to a commutating unit (3L) which changes the sequence. Output from the pick-ups is connected to the Y-plates of the CRT, to produce visual images of the "read" signals in different regions of the tube screen. The magnetic disc has a synchronising pick-up (9) which is amplified and regulates both the electronic circuit and the time base of the C.R.T. (8).
